During the cooling phase, do not press the on/off switch , as this can damage the appliance.

7. With the temperature regulator , you can set the desired water tempera- ture. In order to bring the water to a boil, set the temperature regulator to MAX.

8.While the appliance is not in use, unplug the power cord from the socket, so as to prevent the appliance from an inadvertent start.

Note: The appliance has a safety device. This switches off the heating element, if the appliance is switched on when empty or is cooking dry. In such a condi- tion, allow the appliance to cool off completely, before pouring in water again.

For safety reasons and to avoid injuries do not open the lid when the water is boiling or very hot.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the device in normal domestic waste.

Dispose of the device over a registered waste disposal firm or through your communal waste disposal facility. Observe the currently valid regulations. In case of doubt, consult your waste disposal facility.

Cleaning

Please follow the safety instructions as well.

Always unplug the power cord from the socket, before cleaning the base station . Allow the kettle to cool down completely.

Clean the outer side of the kettle and the base station with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive materials.

Decalcify the appliance at regular intervals. For this use a decalcifying agent available with specialised dealers.
