TROUBLE SHOOTING

SYMPTOM or MESSAGESOLUTION

The computer will not start up after connecting the scanner.

DS_Elite does not appear in the Import drop down list.

“Could not establish connection with scanner.”

“Setting up now. Remove the film holder.”

Indicator lamp blinking rapidly (8Hz).

“Set film properly…”

“Set 35mm film holder properly.”

“Set APS film holder properly.”

“Could not recognize the film type.”

“Insufficient Memory”

“Setting up now. Remove the film holder.” appears when the film holder is not loaded.

Shut down the computer and all the devices in your SCSI chain, then check the SCSI cables, SCSI ID connection, power cord, and SCSI ID.

Make sure the plug-in module has been placed in the correct folder. See page 12.

Indicator lamp is off - Turn the Dimâge Scan Elite on, then restart your system.

Check that the SCSI ID is not being used by another SCSI device.

Remove the film holder and click on OK.

Scanner door opened during setup. Close scanner door.

Load film into the film holder.

Set the correct film type.

Set the correct film type.

Set the film type manually.

Increase the memory requirements for the host application.

If you have scanned multiple images, close and relaunch the host application.

Contact a Minolta Service Facility to change the fluorescent lamp.
