2. No sound
❑Is the volume of your bass tur ned down?
❑Is your bass cable connected correctly?
❑Is your bass cable broken?
❑Are the DRIVE/AMP or PROGRAM LEVEL (LEVEL/NR/CAB/
PEDAL) parameters tur ned to a low value?
❑Is the volume turned down for another effect?
❑If VOLUME is assigned as the control target of the expression
pedal, could you have turned the volume down?
❑Is the Mute function activated? Ref er to “Bypass and Mute” (p .10)
and cancel the Mute function.

Is the master volume turned down? Set the function selector to
[PROGRAM], and turn the v alue knob to adjust the master volume .
3. Effects don’t apply
❑Could an effect be bypassed?
❑Is the modulation “DEPTH” or the dela y/re v erb “MIX” set to a lo w
value?
❑Is the AX5B in Bypass mode? Refer to “Bypass and Mute” (p.10)
and cancel the Bypass function.
4. The sound is distorted while using SYNTH
❑Is the DRIVE/AMP [VOLUME] setting or the PROGRAM LEVEL
(LEVEL/NR/CAB/PEDAL) [LEVEL] setting raised excessively?
5. Sound connected to the bass amp is distorted, or
sounds wrong
❑Is the DRIVE/AMP [VOLUME] setting or the PROGRAM LEVEL
(LEVEL/NR/CAB/PEDAL) [LEVEL] setting raised excessively?
