LaCie drives are pre-formatted as FAT 32 volumes and can be used across multiple platforms (Windows 2000/XP, Mac OS 10). For optimum performance, the drive can easily be re-formatted in NTFS for Windows 2000/XP users or HFS+ for Mac users. FAT 32 limitations: file size cannot exceed 4GB, and Mac special characters cannot be used in files names. For more information about formatting, please refer to the User’s Manual.
