Section 1: Assembly and
General Description
This unit is shipped partially assembled. It is the Dealerships responsibility to finish the assembly.
Tools Required
•Lift truck or hoist capable of handling the load
•Wrench set
•Socket set
Unloading Instructions
!CAUTION
Never allow anyone under the unit while unloading.
Remove crated Aerator from the flat bed trailer with a lifting devise designed for handling the load. Gently set the crate down on a smooth flat work surface. Carefully uncrate the unit to protect against scratching and/or damaging the paint.
Torque Requirements
Refer to “Torque Values Chart For Common Bolt Size” on page 19 to determine correct torque values when tightening hardware.
Assembly Instructions
Review all safety instructions printed in this manual before assembling the Aerator.
NOTE: Do not tighten the hardware until assembly is complete.
Hitch Assembly
Refer to Figure 1-1:
1.Install upper hitches (#1) & (#2) to frame using
1/2" x 1 1/2" bolts (#3), lockwashers (#4) & nuts (#5).
2.Install bushing (#6) between upper hitches with 3/4" x 4" long bolt (#7), lockwasher (#8) and nut (#9).
3.Tighten all hardware using torque requirements on page 19.
