Replacing a keyboard

3.Remove the adapter cover latch and remove the failing adapter.

4.Remove the adapter from its static-protective package.

5.Install the adapter into the appropriate connector on the system board.

6.Install the adapter cover latch and insert the screw that secure the adapter.

7.Go to “Completing the parts replacement” on page 12.

Replacing a keyboard

1.Remove any media (diskettes, CDs, or tapes) from the drives, shut down your operating system, and turn off all attached devices.

2.Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets.
