3. Press the diskette-drive lock 1.
4. Slide the diskette drive up and out of the drive bay assembly. See Figure 28.
5. Disconnect the flat cable from the rear of the failing diskette drive.
6. Connect the flat cable to the new diskette drive.
7. Remove the diskette drive adapter from the lock side of the disk drive. Save
the adapter to reuse when installing the new disk drive.
8. Position the disk drive adapter on the new disk drive (align the adapter with
the holes in the disk drive).
9. Install the new drive from the rear of the drive-bay assembly and lock the
drive into position.
10. Go to Chapter 4, “Completing the parts replacement,” on page 39.
