Entering Numbers, Symbols, Smileys, Preset Messages and RecentMessages
Toenternumbers:
▶Select the 123 mode and press the appropriate key. (See “Selecting a Character Input Mode”on page 35).
Toentersymbols:
▶Select the Symbols mode. (See “Selecting a Character Input Mode”on page 35.) To enter a symbol, press the appropriate key indicated on the display.
Toenter“emoticons”(smileys):
▶Select the Smileys mode and press the appropriate key. (See “Selecting a Character Input Mode”on page 35.)
Toenterpresetmessages:
1.Select the Presetmessagesmode. (See “Selecting a Character Input Mode”on page 35.)
2.Scroll to the desired preprogrammed message and press 
.
Toenterrecentmessages:
1.Select SendMessage > TextMessage.
2.In message input mode, select Mode (right softkey), scroll to Recentmessages, and press 
.
Note: Presetmessages make composing textmessages even easier by allowing you to enter presetmessages, such as “Meetme at”, “Let’s get lunch”, or a customized message of your own. (For more information on presetmessages, please see “Managing PresetMessages”on page 52.)
