3. RAID0 Striping Volume

It is a technique for using multiple hard disks in parallel as one hard disk.

Because it saves data on each hard disk in parallel, it has an excellent performance in reading multiple small sized files.

In order to maximize storage space, it does not record backup information in case of hard disk damage. Hence, the data that was stored in volume of the damaged hard disk will be lost. The storage space of volume is the total of all hard disk storage space.

It is used for quick data access and maximizing volume storage space, thus inappropriate for saving important data.

4. JBOD Linear Volume

It is a technique for using multiple hard disks in a linear format as one hard disk. Because, it stores data in an order onto hard disks, it can maximize volume storage space.

In order to maximize storage space, it does not record backup information in case of hard disk damage. Hence, the data that was stored in volume of the damaged hard disk will be lost.

The storage space of volume is the total of all hard disk storage space.

It is used for maximizing volume storage space, thus inappropriate for saving important data.
