SYSTEM OPERATION

SPECIFICATIONS

The Audioaccess PX-600 keypads, front panel and IR remote controls are designed for simple, intuitive system operation. You will not need lengthy training or a full understanding of audio/video systems to master the operation of your PX-600 system. Use the following outline (which focuses on the opera- tion from the keypad) and experiment. Check with your dealer to find out about any special or alternate features that may have been installed for you. You’ll soon be an expert!

ON

(Substitute the word POWER for PX-600 front panel operation)

▲To turn on a single zone, momentarily press the ON button. The ON LED will illuminate on keypads. The FM (TUNER on front panel) will be selected when a zone is first turned on.

▲To turn off a single zone, momentarily press the ON button again.

▲To turn on a group of zones (this is called an ALL ON group), start with the zone off, then press-and-hold the ON button for about two seconds or until the ON LED flashes.

▲To turn off an ALL ON group, momentarily press the ON button from any zone within the group.1

▲To turn off all zones in the system, as well as the power to the source components, regardless of ALL ON grouping, go to any keypad, make sure it is ON, then press-and- hold the ON button for about two seconds or until the ON LED flashes on a keypad. All zones will turn off. (The front panel has a separate ALL OFF button.)

1Certain options are available that affect the opera- tion of ALL ON. For example, if your system is programmed with the TIMEOUT feature, the zones in an ALL ON group may be set up to revert back to independent operation 30 seconds after the ALL ON is initiated. If this is the case, momentarily pressing the ON button will only turn off the zone you’re in. Check with your dealer for further information.

VOLUME ▲ ▼

▲To increase the volume, press ▲. To decrease the volume press ▼. (On the front panel use the large knob.)

▲To mute the audio, press ▲ and ▼ together. (Press the MUTE button on the front panel or IR remote control to get the same response.)

▲To un-mute the audio, press either the ▲ or ▼ buttons. (Press MUTE again on the front panel.)

Audio Section

Inputs:

▲Five stereo source inputs, 1 mono page input, each with loopthru capability

▲Input impedance: 10k Ω

▲Maximum input voltage: 3.5 Vrms

Outputs:

▲Six stereo preamp outputs with independent volume, bass and treble

▲Six stereo zone outputs (fixed level, post input selector)

▲Tape output from the main zone (zone 6)

Source Equipment Control and Interface Section

Inputs:

▲Trigger input to facilitate sharing source equipment (controls switched outlet and "stop" commands)

▲Keypad interface connector

▲DC voltage input for zone trigger outputs

▲Hardwired IR input to control main zone from industry standard IR receivers

Outputs:

▲Trigger output from each zone to control external relays

▲One system trigger output to control exter- nal relay (active when system is on)

▲Six infrared emitter jacks, one for each audio source (5) plus ALL

▲IR loopthru output

▲Switched outlet (North American model only)
