Safety hints

For your own safety, please refer to enclosed safety instructions.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES

1.Wear a hard hat (safety helmet), safety glasses and/or face shield. It is also highly recom- mended that you wear a dust mask, ear protec- tors and thickly padded gloves.

2.Be sure the bit is secured in place before opera- tion.

3.Under normal operation, the tool is designed to produce vibration. The screws can come loose easily, causing a breakdown or accident. Check tightness of screws carefully before operation.

4.In cold weather or when the tool has not been used for a long time, let the tool warm up for sev- eral minutes by operating it under no load. This will loosen up the lubrication. Without proper warm-up, hammering operation is difficult.

5.Always be sure you have a firm footing.

Be sure no one is below when using the tool in high locations.

6.Hold the tool firmly with both hands.

7.Keep hands away from moving parts.

8.Do not leave the tool running. Operate the tool only when hand-held.

9.Do not point the tool at any one in the area when operating. The bit could fly out and injure some- one seriously.

10.When chipping into walls, floors or wherever “live” electrical wires may be encountered, DO NOT TOUCH ANY METAL PARTS OF THE TOOL! Hold the tool by the insulated grasping surfaces to prevent electric shock if you chip into a “live” wire.

11.Do not touch the bit or parts close to the bit imme- diately after operation; they may be extremely hot and could burn your skin.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

HM1200B, HM1200, HM1200K specifications

The Makita HM1200K, HM1200, and HM1200B are powerful and versatile electric demolition hammers designed for heavy-duty applications. Renowned for their reliability and performance, these models are particularly suited for various demolition tasks, such as breaking concrete, brickwork, and masonry.

One of the standout features of the HM1200 series is its robust motor. Equipped with a high-output 10.0 AMP motor, these hammers deliver an impressive impact energy of up to 22.4 joules, making them highly effective for breaking through tough materials. This power enables contractors and professionals to complete jobs more efficiently without compromising performance.

The HM1200K model comes in a complete kit, including a sturdy carrying case, making it convenient for transportation and storage. The HM1200B, on the other hand, is designed with a safety clutch mechanism that ensures the operator's safety during operation. This feature helps minimize the risk of injury by disengaging the hammer action if the bit becomes stuck or overloaded, providing peace of mind while working.

Another impressive aspect of the HM1200 series is their vibration-dampening technology. Makita has integrated features that significantly reduce vibration levels, thereby enhancing user comfort during extended use. This not only helps in minimizing operator fatigue but also improves overall control, allowing for greater precision while performing detailed demolition tasks.

The HM1200 models are also designed for user convenience and adaptability. They feature a 360-degree swivel handle that can be adjusted to accommodate various working positions. This ergonomic design improves overall maneuverability and helps users work in confined spaces with ease.

Additionally, these hammers come with a dust-proof design that prolongs their lifespan by protecting internal components from debris. High construction quality ensures that the HM1200 models can withstand rigorous job site conditions, making them reliable choices for professionals in the construction field.

In summary, the Makita HM1200K, HM1200, and HM1200B electric demolition hammers offer exceptional power, innovative safety features, and ergonomic designs. Their combination of robust performance and user-friendly characteristics positions them as essential tools for contractors seeking efficiency and reliability in their demolition tasks. Whether tackling heavy demolition or precise breaking applications, these hammers stand out in the industry for their superior engineering and technological advancements.
