A.Open bin carton, lay carton on its side, and remove cardboard liner from inside bin. Place the liner on the floor in front of the carton and slide the bin onto the liner. Attach four bin legs, set the bin upright, and check for damage. Move bin to the set-up location and level. The legs are ad justable for leveling. If the legs are not used, use shims

to level the bin. The NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) requires that a bin not on legs m ust be sealed to the floor using mastic around the entire perimeter on the bottom of the bin.

B.See service manual for uncrating and inspection of both ice machines.

C.Remove the top cover from the lower ice machine.

D.Place the control bulb bracket on the back edge of bin, in the center (see FIG. 4).

E.Place cover from E-0600 kit on ice machine and replace screws. Set ice machine on the bin squarely.

F.Remove front panel, top cover, and end panel from second ice machine.

2.Thermostat Control Installation (see FIG. 2):

A.Remove thermostat control from E-0600 carton. Locate control on partition panel, under tim er box and toggle switch. Mark two hole locations on panel using bracket holes as a guide. Drill two 1/8” holes and m ount control to partition panel with two sheet metal screws.

B.Wiring Control (see FIG. 2 and FIG. 3).

a. Remove white plug located on partition panel (ice making compartment) underneath timer box and insert

7/8” bushing from kit. Insert two wire leads from thermostat control through partition panel into com pressor compartment. Run leads up to and through smaller of the two bushings in partition panel and into timer box (see FIG. 2).

Remote and water m achines: See FIG. 2. Air m achines: See FIG. 3. Rem ove lead wire marked #16 from toggle switch and connect to one lead from thermostat with double quick-connect from kit. Connect other lead from thermostat to center quick-connect on toggle switch.

C.Place ice machine end panel and cover back on and set machine on top of first machine, carefully and squarely.

D.Remove the ice chutes and damper doors from upper and lower ice machines.

E.Remove the water curtain from the lower ice machine.

F.Pass the thermostat bulb through the ice chute opening in the upper machine (see FIG. 4).

G.Remove the screw on the bin switch housing and place a plas tic clamp on the thermostat tubing. Put the housing screw through the clamp and replace screw and clamp to housing (see FIG. 4).

H. Remove the right-hand water curtain hanger screw and put a plastic clam p on the therm ostat tubing. Carefully bend the tubing back to the evaporator position. Mount the clamp and curtain hanger back to original position.

I.Remove the right-hand harvest rack bracket screw and pl ace a plastic clamp on the thermostat tubing. Put screw through clamp and mount clamp to the harvest rack.

J.Feed the tubing through the right-hand corner of the ice chute opening. Carefully bend the tubing straight back to the bin wall and then over to the plastic clam p on the br acket. Slide the bulb into the clam p on the bracket and tighten the screws. Place a plastic clamp over the tubing and attach to the base of the machine with a sheet metal screw.

K.Replace the lower ice m achine water curtain. Make sure the curtain can open and close freely without hitting on the control tubing. If the curtain does hit the tubing, bend tubing enough to allow the curtain to pass.

3.Installation of Stacking Kit Ice Chutes (see FIG. 5 and 6):

A. Remove the water pum p from the lower ice m achine. Take the water pum p and slide it up and off the mounting studs. Rem ove electrical plug from socket. Lift the pump out of the water trough and disconnect the plastic tubing. Reverse these steps for later installation.
