K00042 STACKING KIT

Installation Instructions

The K00042 stacking kit is used for stacking a G-0600 ice machine on an E-1100 ice machine. The bin must be leveled before proceeding.

Installing the E-1100 Ice Machine

1.See service manual for uncrating and inspection of ice machine.

2.Remove top cover and side panels from ice machine.

3.Set ice machine carefully and squarely on bin.

4.Position top cover from kit on right-hand side of ice machine. Position left-hand top cover. Attach water shield to right-hand top cover on flange with one #8 x 1/2” long sheet metal screw from kit (see Illustration 1).

5.Apply foam tape from the kit, as shown in Illustration 1.

Installing the G-0600 Ice Machine

1.See service manual for uncrating and inspection of ice machine.

2.Remove top cover and side panels from ice machine.

3.Set G-0600 on top of E-1100 with backs of both machines being flush.

4.Remove screw from rear panel of G-0600 and screw from E-1100 in area of electrical hook-up (rear panel). Apply rear-locking plate using existing screws that were removed. With offset rear locking plate fastened, the left and right side of the G-0600 should be sitting on the E- 1100 top covers, as shown in Illustration 2.

5.Before applying RTV sealant in designated areas to insure against leaks or water hang-up, as shown (Illustration 2), remove the water pump, water curtain, and water trough. After sealing the seams with RTV, replace the water pump, etc.

Installing the Ice Chute

1.Attach bottom mounting bracket from kit to the front base channel of the E-1100 using two #10-24 x 5/8” long sheet metal screws provided (see Illustration 2 and 3).

2.Remove angle “A” from upper G-0600 (see Illustration 2).

3.Attach top mounting bracket from kit to top rail of E- 1100 using existing screw.

4.Reattach angle “A” to G-0600.

5.From the upper ice machine, carefully bring the ice chute down in place until the weld studs located on the ice chute go through the slotted holes in the bottom mounting bracket. Secure with four wing nuts provided in the kit.

6.Check for free movement of the water curtains on both the G-0600 and E-1100 ice machines (styrene covers over evaporators).

7.Reattach all panels of both ice machines.

8.Proceed to ice machine service manuals for electrical and water hook-ups and start-up procedure.
