Previewing VR format
1 During playback, press SCAN.
2 Press 5/∞ to highlight either TITLE
DIGEST or TITLE INTERVAL.

3 Press ENTER to select the function.
• TITLE DIGEST – This function will display
thumbnail pictures of titles on the screen.
Up to six thumbnail pictures per page will
be displayed.
• In ORIGINAL LIST mode, the originally
recorded titles on the disc will be
displayed.
• In PLAY LIST mode, every title in the
play list will be displayed.
• TITLE INTERVAL – This function will
divide and display the contents of each
title being played back in regular intervals,
making it easy to preview the recording.
Up to six thumbnail pictures per page will
be displayed.
• If the title being played back is short,
the TITLE DIGEST function will be
performed instead.
(example for 6 thumbnail pictures display)
4 Use 2/3/5/∞ to select a title, or use the
numeric buttons to enter the title number
next to SELECT.
• Press 4/¢ to access the previous/
next page.
5 Press ENTER to confi rm the selection.
To quit the preview function
• Use 2/3/5/∞ to highlight EXIT and press
ENTER to confi rm.
To return to the preview menu
• Use 2/3/5/∞ to highlight MENU and press
ENTER to confi rm.
PASSWORD
The password is used for both Parental
Control and Disc Lock. Enter your six-digit
password to play a locked disc or when
prompted for a password. The default
password is “111111 ”. T o change the password:
1 Press ENTER to access the change password
menu.

CONFIRM PWD
2 Use the numeric keypad 0-9 on the remote
control to enter your existing six-digit
password at OLD PASSWORD.
Note
• When doing this for the fi rst time or if you forget
your existing password, key in “111111”.
3 Enter the new six-digit password at NEW
PASSWORD.
4 Enter the new six-digit password again at
CONFIRM PWD.
5 Press ENTER to confi rm and exit the menu.
DIVX SUBTITLE
You can set the font type that supports the
recorded DivX subtitle.
• Default setting: STANDARD
STANDARD
Albanian, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French,
Gaelic, German, Italian, Kurdish (Latin), Norwegian,
Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.
CYRILLIC
Bulgarian, Belorussian, English, Macedonian, Moldavian,
Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian.
Note
• Supported subtitle extensions for DivX are “.srt”,
“.smi”, “.sub”, “.srt”, “.ssa”, “.ass”.
