Cuando se utilizan aparatos eléctricos, siempre deben tenerse pre- cauciones básicas para reducir el riesgo de incendio, descarga eléc- trica, y lesiones a personas, incluyendo lo siguiente:

PRECAUCIÓN – PARA REDUCIR EL RIESGO DE INCENDIO Y DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA:

1.Lea todas las instrucciones antes de utilizar este calefactor.

2.Este calefactor se calienta cuando está en uso. Para evitar que- maduras, no permita que la piel desnuda haga contacto con las superficies calientes. No cubra parcialmente o totalmente ni obstruya la parte delantera de este calefactor.

3.Se requiere extrema precaución cuando cualquier calefactor es utilizado por, o cerca de niños o personas inválidas, y cuando el calefactor se deja en operación y desatendido.

4.Siempre desenchufe el calefactor cuando no está en uso.

5.No opere ningún calefactor con el cable de suministro de energía o enchufe dañados, o después que el calefactor tenga malfuncionamiento, o se haya caído o dañado de cualquier manera. Devuelva el calefactor a la fábrica según se indica en la garantía para todas las reparaciones.

6.No utilice el calefactor en exteriores.

7.No coloque el cable de suministro de energía debajo de tapetes. No cubra el cable de suministro de energía con alfombras, canales, etc. Coloque el cable alejado del área de tráfico y donde no haya riesgo de tropezón.

8.Este calefactor no está diseñado para uso en cuartos de baño, áreas de lavado de ropa y lugares interiores similares. Nunca coloque el calefactor donde pueda caer en una bañera u otro

recipiente de agua. No encienda ni apague el calefactor mien- tras usted está parado dentro de agua o si sus manos están dentro del agua. Ignorar esta advertencia podría resultar en accidente fatal.

9.Para desconectar el calefactor, coloque el interruptor en la posición "Off", luego remueva el enchufe del tomacorriente.

10.Conecte únicamente en tomacorrientes polarizados y conectados a tierra apropiadamente.

11.No haga orificios de ninguna clase en el calefactor. Si lo hace, usted puede dañar este calefactor y anular esta garantía.

12.Para evitar un posible incendio, no utilice este calefactor sobre superficies blandas, tal como una cama. No deje encendido el calefactor cuando está colocado boca-abajo o cuando la parte delantera del calefactor está cubierta de alguna manera con cualquier material.

13.Un calefactor tiene en su interior piezas calientes y piezas que producen arcos o chispas. No lo utilice en áreas donde se uti- liza o almacena gasolina, pintura o líquidos inflamables.

14.Utilice este calefactor sólo según se describe en este manual. Cualquier otro uso no recomendado por el fabricante podría causar incendio, descarga eléctrica o lesiones a personas.

15.Evite el uso de un cable eléctrico de extensión, ya que el cable de extensión podría sobrecalentarse y causar un riesgo de incendio.

16.Si debe utilizarse un cable de extensión, el cable deberá ser calibre No. 18AWG y con capacidad nominal no inferior de 600 vatios.
