•You can take a break during the session and do other things whilst bathing (e.g. read or watch TV) as long as you sit within 60 cm of the apparatus.
•Do not look directly into the light constantly, but look at it regularly.
•Always turn the appliance off using the on/off button, and unplug it, when it is not in use.
Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before putting it away or carrying it by the handle
(4).
REPLACING LIGHT TUBES
Normal tube (8) lifetime is approx. 10,000 hours of normal use. If a tube fails, it must be replaced.
•Slacken the retaining screws (5) on the back using a screwdriver, lay the appara- tus on its back and remove the screen.
oNote that the four brackets on the front of the screen will become loose when the screws are slackened. Take care not to lose them, as the screen cannot be refitted correctly.
•Lift the safety bracket (7) and carefully lift upper end of tube from the apparatus.
•Pull the tube free of its socket (10) at the bottom of the apparatus. Dispose of used tubes in accordance with local rules.
•Insert a new tube in the reverse order.
oBoth tubes should be replaced at the same time.
•Replace the screen.
CLEANING
•Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.
•Allow to cool down before cleaning.
•Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents, solvents or similar to clean the apparatus, as these may scratch or da- mage the external surfaces.
•Never submerge the apparatus in water, and no water must be allowed to get into it.
•Allow to dry fully after cleaning before using again.
External cleaning
•Wipe off with a damp, soft cloth.
Internal cleaning
•Remove the screen as described above, wipe off reflector, inside of screen and tubes with s damp, soft cloth. Replace the screen.
