Remember that the cooking plate becomes extremely hot and it takes a while before the cooking plate is completely cooled off.

When using your cooking plate, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

Read all instructions.

Use only cooking plate for its intended use.

To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cooking plate in water or any other liquids.

Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.

Do not allow cord to touch hot surface. Let appliance cool completely before cleaning.

Do not operate cooking plate with a damaged cord or if the cooking plate has been dropped or damaged.

To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the cooking plate, take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the cooking plate is used.

BEFORE USE

Make sure that the cooking plate is completely dry before use.

The cooking plate should not be placed on a untreated woodsurface. Place the cooking plate on a heat resistant surface.

Before using for the first time, the protective coating must be burned off the hotplates. Ensure the room is well ventilated while doing this, as it may give off an unpleasant smell. This is normal and will disappear after a couple of minutes. This is the only time the plates should be turned on without cooking.
