IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed includ- ing the following:

1.Read all instructions before operating.

2.Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

3.To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug, base of the unit, or the complete appliance in water or other liquid.

4.Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

5.Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

6.Do not operate any appliance with a dam- aged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

7.If a problem arises return the appliance to an authorized service agent for examina- tion, repair or adjustment.

8.Do not use accessories or attachments that are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer.

9.Do not use outdoors.

10.Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, and do not touch the hot surfaces.

11.Do not place on or near a hot gas or elec- tric burner, or in a heated oven.

12.Ensure that the control knob is turned to the off setting before inserting or removing the plug from the wall outlet.

13.Do not use the appliance for anything other than it’s intended use.

14.Extreme caution must be used when mov- ing an appliance containing hot oil or other liquids.

15.Place a heat resistant pad or mat under the unit before using it to prevent possible heat damage to the counter or table top.

16.Any appliance when plugged into an elec- trical outlet should not be left unattended.

17.Do not clean with metal scouring pads, which can break off the pad and touch the electrical parts, creating a risk of electrical shock.

18.Any maintenance other than cleaning should be performed only by an authorized service/repair agent. Alternatively the appli- ance can be returned to the store where it was purchased, along with the purchase slip.

19.This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, un- less they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

20.Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

21.The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operat- ing.

22.This appliance is not intended to be oper- ated by means of an external timer or sepa- rate remote-control system.

23.This appliance is for household use only.
