TO PLAY A CD (STANDARD, CD-R OR CD-RW DISCS)

Press the POWER button 1 to turn the unit on. Open the CD compartment door by pressing the CD Door Open/Close area 2. Place a CD on the center spindle, with the printed label side facing up. Close the CD compartment door.

Press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p)/CD button to select CD; “CD” will appear in the display and playback will start automatically.

Adjust the VOLUME control 1 and EQ button 2 as desired. Repeatedly press the EQ button 2 to cycle through the EQ settings as follows: ROCK, JAZZ, POP, CLASSIC(AL), (OFF).

Press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p)/CD but- ton again to pause playback; the time display will blink. Press the PLAY/ PAUSE (®p)/CD button once again to continue playback; the time display will stop blinking.

To skip forward or backward through the tracks on the disc, repeatedly rotate and release the TUNE/SKIP/SEARCH control towards o or n.

To search forward or backward through the music on a disc, gently rotate and hold the TUNE/SKIP/SEARCH control towards o or n, a chattering noise will be heard. Release the TUNE/SKIP/SEARCH control to resume normal playback.
