The XiA connects an iPod and a XM receiver with a display module to an OEM radio allowing control of the iPod or the XM receiver through the radio buttons. This manual is specifically for Ford/Lincoln/Mazda/Mercury OEM Radios and the XiA-D01 Interface installed in-vehicle along with either or a combination of an iPod, an external XM Receiver, or an AUX in. The XiA Interface Unit emulates an OEM CD Changer or an external Satellite Receiver, and on installation replaces either one. In vehicles that are not equipped for the OEM Satellite Receiver, the XiA Adapter should be setup to emulate the CD Changer.
