Symptom Possible Cause Action
The Edge of the Copy is dirty. The Original Pad or Document
Feed Belt is dirty. Wipe the Original Pad or
Document Transport Belt clean
with a soft cloth dampened with

You have selected a paper size
larger than the original. (Zoom
Ratio is set at full size 100%)
Select the same copy paper size

Or, use the Auto Size Mode to
enlarge the copy to the

The original is not placed in the
correct position. (Zoom Ratio is
set at full size 100%.)
Select the Paper Tray that is
loaded in the same direction as
