Camera setup

1.Charge the lithium-ion battery. The battery can be charged when installed in the camera or by itself.

2.Open the battery-chamber door as shown.

3.Insert the battery into the battery chamber. Read the safety warn- ings in page 3 in the Xt manual.

4.Insert a memory card into the card slot. Read the information about handling the card in the Xt manual.

5.Turn on the camera.

6.Turn the mode dial to the setup mode to set the date and time using the menu.
