tap method

This is the standard method for entering text on your phone.

Regular Tap method cycles through the letters and numbers of the key you press. The Tap Extended method cycles through letters, numbers, and symbols. If Tap or Tap Extended is not available as the Primary or Secondary entry mode, see page 48.

1Press a key one or more times to select a letter, number, or symbol.

2Repeat the step above to enter more characters.

When you enter three or more characters in a row, your phone may guess the rest of the word. For example, if you enter prog, you might see:

			to accept program, or
			press Sup or
			down to reject it.
			Press # to enter
			a space after prog.

If you want a different word, continue pressing keys to enter the remaining characters.

Press a keypad key repeatedly to cycle through its characters.

Press Sleft or right to move the flashing cursor to the left or right in a text message.
