and Silent. The alert styles are shown on the phone’s external display.

After scrolling to the alert style you want, press the up or down volume key to save the setting and return to the home screen.

flip open

From the home screen,

press the down volume key to decrease the call alert volume. Continue pressing

the down volume key to switch to vibrate and then to silent alert. Press the up

volume key to cycle back from silent alert to vibrate and then to the lowest volume setting.Continue pressing the up volume key to increase volume.

external display

When you close your phone, the external display shows the time, status indicators, and notifications for incoming calls. (For a list of phone status indicators, see page 19.)

handsfree speaker

You can use your phone’s handsfree speaker to make calls without holding the phone to your ear.

To activate the

speakerphone during a call, a call (with the flip open), press and hold the smart/ speakerphone key.

You will see Spkrphone On and

hear a soft audio alert.
