Serial ATA/Serial ATA RAID Connectors controlled by Silicon Image’s SATARAID5TM: SATA5 / SATA6 / SATA7 / SATA8 (Optional)

The Southbridge of this mainboard is nForce4 Ultra which supports four serial ATA connectors SATA1~SATA4. Silicon Image’s SATARAID5TM of this mainboard supports another four serial ATA connectors SATA5~SATA8.

SATA1~SATA8 are dual high-speed Serial ATA interface ports. Each supports 1st generation serial ATA data rates of 300MB/s(SATA1-4)/150 MB/s(SATA5-8). Both connectors are fully compliant with Serial ATA 1.0 specifications. Each Serial ATA connector can connect to 1 hard disk device.
