Sending documents to an e-mail gateway (fax server)

When this feature is activated, you can send documents to an e-mail gateway (fax
server) by simply entering the fax number. The machine will automatically add a prefix
and suffix to the fax number you have entered and send it to the e-mail gateway.
NOTE: • This function is available only for the MFX-1350/F-305.
To use this function, the optional NIC(Network Interface Card) is required.
The following functions are not able to combine with sending faxes using the e-
mail gateway:
- Real time transmission
- Polling
- F-code transmission or F-code polling
- Manual line selection (This function is only available when the optional
second phone line module is attached.)

Setting the e-mail gateway feature

1 Press <Menu>, <2>, <2>, <1>, <9>, <Enter>.

2 Use the cursor key to select “On”, then press <Enter>.

If you want the machine to always send fax documents to an e-mail gateway, select
“On”. Otherwise, select “Off”.
3 Enter the prefix that should added before the fax number by using the numeric keys
(up to 32 characters), and press <Enter>.
(For example, “Fax=”)

4 Enter the suffix that should be added after the fax number (up to 48 characters) and
press <Enter> to save the setting.
(For example, “@domain name”)

5 Press <Reset> to go back to the standby mode.
NOTE: Total characters of prefix, fax number and suffix should be within 50 characters. For
specific prefix and suffix information, please refer to the e-mail gateway documenta-
tion.
