SoftwareComplete the following steps to install Calibration Executive:
1. Makesure that your c omputer and monitor are poweredo n and
that you haveinstalled Windows 2000/NT/Me/9x.
2. Close all open applications.
3. Insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.
4. Chooset he Runopt ion from the Start menu on the desktop task bar.
5. In the command line box, type x:\setup.exe (where xis the letter
of the CD-ROMdrive you are using), and click OK.
6. Followthe instructions that appear in the dialog boxes.
The setup program installs Calibration Executiveas well as
the associated fileslisted in Table 3.
TestConditionsFollow these guidelines to optimize the connections and the environment
during calibration:
•Keepconnections to the NI 5102 short. Long cables and w ires act as
antennae,picking up extra noise that can affect measurements.
•Use a 50 ΩBNC coaxial cable for all connections to the device.
•Keeprelative humidity between 10 and 90%, noncondensing,
orco nsult your devicehardware manual for the optimum rel ative
humidity.
•Maintain the temperature at 25 °C.
•Allowa warm-up time of at least 15 minutes to ensure that the
measurementcircuitry of the 5102 is ata stable operating temperature.
