Battery Replacement
A lithium battery in some computers maintains system configuration
information. In the event that the battery fails to maintain system
configurat io n inf or mation, NECC reco mm en ds t hat you replac e t h e ba t ter y.

There is a danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced.
Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the
manufacturer. Discard used batteries according to the manuf actur er ’s
instructions.

Battery Disposal
The main battery is a Lithium-Ion battery.
The sub-battery is a Nickel-Metal Hydride battery.
Do not place used batteries in your regular trash.
The incineration, landfilling, or mixing of batteries with the municipal solid
waste stream is prohibited by law in most areas.
Contact your local waste management officials for other information
regarding th e envir onmenta lly sou nd col lecti on, r ecycling , and dis posa l of
used batteries. If you purchased or are using this computer outside of the
U.S. or Cana da , contact a loca l NECC dealer in y our country.
