To add a value to memory, enter the number or calculation you want to add, then press M+. The calculator totals the current calculation (if one is pending) and adds that value to memory.
MEMORY appears to show that a value is stored in memo- ry.
To subtract a value from memory, enter the number or cal- culation you want to subtract, then press
To recall the value from memory, press . The memory value appears.
To clear the contents in memory, press twice so MEM- ORY disappears.
Modifying or tampering with the calculator’s internal com- ponents can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. If your calculator is not performing as it should, take it to your local electronic store for assistance.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
Although your calculator uses solar power most of the time, the supplied backup battery will eventually become weak and need to be replaced. If the display dims or the calculator speed slows down, replace the battery with a type 389A
Follow these steps to replace the battery.
1.Place the calculator face down on a flat surface.
2.Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw secur- ing the back cover.
3.Slide the back cover down to remove it.
4.Remove the old battery.
5.Position the new battery so the positive (+) side is up, then press the battery into the battery holder.
6.Slide the front and back case halves back together, then reinsert and tighten the screw.
