Using Preset Manual

Preset manual is used with unusual lighting or to compensate for light sources with a strong color cast when the desired effect has not been achieved with white balance settings like Auto and Incandescent (for example, to make images shot under a lamp with a red shade look as though they had been shot under white light).

Use the procedure below to measure the white balance value under the lighting used when shooting.

1Prepare a white or gray-colored subject and then place it under the lighting that will be used when shooting.

2Display the shooting menu (A54), use the multi selector to select bPreset manual in

the White balance menu, and then press the kbutton.

The camera zooms in to the position for measuring white balance.
