temperature

some parts
of
the
battery may
become
elevated
during
charging. Maintaining
contact
with
the
battery for
prolonged
periods
could
re-
sult in
low-temperature
burns.
You
may
notice
that
the
battery
is
hot
directly after use
or
charging; this does
not
indicate a malfunction.
In
cold conditions,
the
battery may re-
quire frequent charging even
when
ful-
ly charged. It
is
recommended
that
you
keep a fully-charged spare battery in a
warm
place and exchange
as
necessary
when
taking pictures in cold weather.
• A marked
drop
in
the
time
a fully-
charged battery retains its charge,
when
used at
room
temperature, indicates
that
the
battery needs
to
be replaced.
Purchase a

battery.
If
the
battery will
not
be used for

some

time, insert
it
in
the
camera and run
it
·flat before removing
it
for storage. The
battery should be stored in a cool loca-
tion
with
an
ambient
temperature
of

to
25
oc
(59
to
77
°F).
Do
not
store
the
battery in
hot
or
extremely cold loca-
tions.
