Basic Camera Setup: The Setup Menu

uDigital Zoom

On (default setting)

When you press g(i) with maximum optical zoom applied, digital zoom (A21) is enabled.

Off

Digital zoom is disabled (except for recording movies).

BDigital Zoom

Digital zoom is not available in the following cases:

•When one-touch portrait mode is selected or b[Portrait] or e[Night portrait] is selected from the scene mode menu

•When [Multi-shot 16] is selected from the [Continuous] settings in the shooting mode menu

•Before movie is started

iSound Settings

Adjust the following sound settings.

Button sound

When [On] (default setting) is selected, beep will sound once when operations are completed successfully, three times when error is detected, and twice when the camera acquires focus on the subject, and start-up sound will come when the camera is turned on.

Shutter sound

Choose shutter sound from [On] (default setting) and [Off].
