
5. Using
Fan Mode
Fan Mode is used to set the speed of the internal cooling fan.
Mode – Normally select Auto, which enables the projector to automatically detect fan requirements. Select High Altitude when using the projector at altitudes approximately 5000 feet/1500 meters or higher. The
Orientation – Select either Horizontal or Vertical according to the installation angle of the projector. Select Horizontal for angles of range from 45° to 315° and from 135° to 225° indicated in gray. Select Vertical for the other angle ranges.
CAUTION When the projector is mounted on the ceiling at the installation angles from 45° to 135°, make sure that no one is under the projector. Glass fragments could fall if the lamp has been burned out.
Note:
•Set Fan Mode to High Altitude when using the projector at altitudes approximately 5000 feet/1500 meters or higher.
•Using the projector at altitudes approximately 5000 feet/1500 meters or higherwithout setting to High Altitude can cause the projector to overheat and the protector could shut down. If this happens, wait a couple minutes and turn on the projector.
•Using the projector at altitudes less than approximately 5000 feet/1500 metersand setting to High Altitude can cause the lamp to overcool, causing the image to flicker.
•Using the projector at altitudes approximately 5000 feet/1500 meters or higher can shorten the life of optical components such as the lamp.
•Your setting will not be affected even when Reset is done from the menu.97
