Important: Do not remove the memory card in the middle of an operation when the card is being accessed. Removing the card in the middle of an operation may damage the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the card may be corrupted.

Remove the microSD card

You can remove or replace the microSD card during phone operation without switching the phone off.

1.Make sure that no application is currently accessing the micro SD memory card.

2.Open the memory card holder.

3.Press the microSD card slightly in to release the locking.

4.Remove the microSD card from the slot.

Charge the battery

The charging time depends on the charger used. Charging a BL-5C battery with the AC-4 charger takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes while the phone is in the standby mode.

1. Connect the charger to a wall outlet.

2. Connect the lead from the charger to the charger connector, as shown.

A CA-44 charger adapter can be used with older charger models. See “Enhancements,” p. 57.

If the battery is completely discharged, it may take a few minutes before the charging indicator appears on the display or before any calls can be made.

Open and close the phone

You open and close the phone manually. When you open the fold of the phone, it opens up to approximately 165 degrees. Do not try to force the fold open more. Depending on the theme, a tone sounds when you open and close the phone.

Switch the phone on and off

Press and hold the end key until the phone turns on or off.

If the phone asks for a PIN or a UPIN code, enter the code (displayed as ****), and select OK.
