• ADJUST VOLUME CONTROL

You set your volume by adjusting the earpiece volume buttons. See “About

your phone” for an illustration of volume control keys located on the left

side of the 8390.

• CHOOSE THE DISPLAY LANGUAGE

You can choose your phone’s display

language.

1Press Menu 4 4 1 (Settings > Phone

settings > Language).

2Scroll to the language you want, then

press Select.

• SET UP THE CLOCK

Your phone has an internal clock that can be displayed on the Start screen.

It also features an alarm clock (see “Use the alarm clock” on page 118).

Note: You may need to set the clock each time the battery runs

out or is removed and reinstalled.

Set the time

1Press Menu 4 2 1 (Settings > Time settings > Clock).

2Scroll to Set the time, then press Select.

3Enter the current time, using 2 digits for both hours and minutes.

OR

Enter hours and minutes in 24-hour forma t.

4Press OK.

5Select am or pm and press Select.

Note: If you entered the time in the 24-hour format, am and pm

do not appear.
