OKIFAX 5780/5980 models have fast transmission speeds and 50-page automatic document feeders, so users can load documents, set instructions, and get back to work quickly.

The OKIFAX 5980 and 5980 Dual Line models come standard with 12.5 MB of RAM (up to 1,000 pages 2 ); the 5780 comes with 2.5 MB (up to 200 pages 2 ), which can be upgraded to 10.5 MB. All three models have a 72-hour battery backup—so no faxes will be lost if the power goes out, even over a long weekend.

The 33.6 Kbps modem (the Dual Line model has two) can transmit a page in as little as 2.5 seconds 2, saving time and telephone costs. The 5980 models also have JBIG compression, so file sizes are further reduced for even faster transmission.

OKIFAX 5780/5980 units can scan documents at true 600 dpi, and deliver output at a fast 10 pages per

minute. Horizontal/Vertical Reduction extends past the printable area of the page to ensure that no data is lost on a received fax or copied sheet.

With the Backup File feature, you can automatically send an electronic copy of every fax you transmit or receive to a pre-determined fax number or e-mail address.3
