VL Digital modulation circuitry enables effective digital-to-analog conversion in Onkyo’s switching amplifiers and select compact audio systems.To prevent spike noise from introducing inversion-timing errors during the conversion process,VL Digital converts the analog audio signal with a high degree of accuracy. When an analog input is received, the vector generator outputs a current proportional to the size of the analog input.This current is sent to an integrator, where it is charged. When the charge reaches a specified value, the trigger operates and inverts the output pulse. Spike noise is eliminated as negative

and positive charges of the waveform cancel each other out.
