INTRODUCTION

Your Optimus AMX-10 Stereo Ampli- fied Speakers are specially designed for use with computer multimedia sys- tems. The speakers’ magnetic shield allows you to place them next to your PC’s monitor without causing picture distortion.

The speakers also transform your por- table CD player or personal cassette player into a complete music system. The speakers are compatible with any audio source that has a 1/8-inch stereo headphone or line out jack.

Your speakers’ features include:

31/2-Inch Full-Range Speakers

give you excellent, wide-range sound.

Bass Boost and Treble Controls — let you adjust the speakers’ low and high frequency response to enhance the sound.

POWER SOURCES

You can power your speakers from in- ternal batteries, standard AC power, or vehicle battery power.

Using Batteries

You can power the speakers from eight C batteries (four in each speak- er). For the best performance, we rec- ommend alkaline batteries, such as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-651.

1.Press the tab on each speaker’s battery compartment cover, then lift off the cover.

2.Put four batteries into each speaker’s compartment, as indi- cated by the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside the compart- ment.

Caution: Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.

3.Replace the cover.
