Notes:

If you will not be using the speak- ers for a week or more, or if you will be using only AC or vehicle battery power, remove the batter- ies from each speaker.

If the speakers’ sound weakens or distorts, or the power indicator dims during use, replace all the batteries in both speakers.

Caution: Always dispose of old bat- teries promptly and properly.

Using AC Power

You can power your speakers from a standard AC outlet using a 12-volt AC adapter (not supplied), such as Ra- dioShack Cat. No. 273-1653.

Cautions:

The recommended adapter sup- plies 12 volts DC power and deliv- ers at least 600 milliamps. Its center tip can be set to positive, and its plug properly fits the right speaker’s DC 12V jack. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage the speaker or the adapter.

Always plug the AC adapter into the speaker before you plug it into the AC outlet. Always unplug the AC adapter from the AC outlet before you unplug it from the speaker.

Follow these steps to use AC power.

1.Make sure POWER OFF/ON is set to OFF.

2.Plug the 5.5 mm outer diameter/ 2.1 inner diameter barrel plug into the AC adapter cord, matching TIP to positive (+).

3.Plug the adapter’s barrel plug into the DC 12V jack on the rear of the right (R) speaker.

4.Plug the adapter into a standard AC outlet.

Note: Connecting an AC adapter au- tomatically disconnects internal batter- ies.
