POWERING THE SCP-84
You can power your SCP-84 from any of three power sources:
•Internal batteries (not supplied)
•Standard AC power (with an optional AC adapter)
•Your vehicle’s cigarette-lighter socket (with an optional DC adapter)
Note: Connecting an optional adapter disconnects inter- nal batteries.
Using Batteries
You can power your SCP-84 from two AA batteries. We recommend alkaline batteries, such as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-557, not supplied. You can also use rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries (such as Cat. No. 23-125, not supplied). If you use rechargeable batteries, you also need a battery charger (such as Cat. No. 23-133, not supplied).
