Checking the Telephone Line
When you are in the Fax mode, and you do not hear a dial tone after pressing the Monitor key, or the incoming call does not ring on your machine (No automatic receive), please check telephone line by following the procedure below.

Check for dial tone through the handset. If there is still no dial tone, report it to your local telephone company.
