3:A certain part of the picture blinks.

This appears due to the highlight display function which shows white saturated areas. (P29)

4:When the shutter button is pressed halfway, a red lamp sometimes turns on.

In dark places, the AF assist lamp (P90) lights red to make it easier to focus on a subject.

5:The camera will make sounds caused by internal mechanical movement when it is shaken.

The sound arises when the lens moves. This is not a malfunction.

6:The AF assist lamp does not turn on.

Is [AF ASSIST LAMP] on the [REC] mode menu set to [ON]?

Are you taking pictures in dark places?

The AF assist lamp does not turn on in bright places.

The AF assist lamp does not turn on when [SCENERY] (P73), [NIGHT SCENERY] (P74), [FIREWORKS] (P77), or [PANNING] (P80) in scene mode is selected.

7:The camera is getting warmer.

The surface of the camera may get warmer during use. This does not cause a problem with the performance or quality of the camera.

8:When the zoom ring is rotated, the camera makes a noise.

When the zoom function is activated, you may hear some sound from the camera or the camera may shake. However, it is not a malfunction.

9:The lens clicks.

The sound is caused by automatic adjustment of the aperture.

It is not a malfunction.

10:The clock setting is reset.

If you do not use the camera for a long time, the clock setting may be reset. When the message [PLEASE SET THE CLOCK] appears, set the clock again.

When you take a picture before setting the clock, [0:00 0. 0. 0] is recorded.

11:Colors that were actually not around the subject appear on the picture.

On the camera, color shift may appear by the characteristic of the lens.

This is not a malfunction.

12:The file numbers are not recorded consecutively.

When you perform an operation after taking a certain action, the pictures may be recorded in folders with different numbers from the ones used prior to the operation. (P119)

13:The file numbers are recorded in ascending order.

If the battery is inserted or removed when the camera is not turned off, the recorded folder numbers are lost. However if you turn the camera on again and record pictures, the recorded folder numbers are different from the prior recorded folder numbers.

When brightness has changed due to the zoom or the movement of the camera or other, the lens may click and the picture on the screen may be drastically changed, however, the pictures are not affected.
