2 Use the USB cable (supplied) to connect the camera and the AC adaptor, and then connect the AC adaptor to a power outlet.

hUse only the supplied USB cable. Operation is not guaranteed if a different USB cable is used.

hThe AC adaptor is for this camera only. Do not use it with other devices.

hRecharging takes place only when the camera is turned off or is in the sleep mode (page 33). Recharging does not take place when the camera is in the recording mode or playback mode.

<During charging...>

h The status indicator flashes red at 0.5-second intervals if the battery pack is defective or is not installed correctly. Make sure that the battery pack is correctly installed.

h If the battery pack still fails to recharge, it is possible that there is a malfunction in the camera, the battery pack or the AC adaptor. In case the status indicator is flashing fast or slow, please see page 173.

h When charging is completed, the status indicator turns off. h The charging time is approx. 120 minutes.
