Registering the USB adaptor
Before you use the USB adaptor you must
first register it to the base unit, another
USB adaptor, or another Bluetooth device.
1Your computer:
Connect the USB adaptor to your
computer.
LThe MULTI TALK V USB Utility starts.
If the software does not start, refer to
the troubleshooting section (page
18).
2Click the Data Link Manager icon in the
MULTI TALK V USB Utility-Main Menu
window.
LData Link Manager window is open.
3Click [Find Device].
LAll connectable devices are listed in
the Device List.
LA maximum of 10 devices can be
found.
4Select the device you would like to
connect to, then click [Find Service].
LAll available services are listed in the
Service List.
LWhen you connect to another
computer’s USB adaptor or a
Bluetooth device, skip to step 6.
5Base unit:
Press and hold {INTERCOM} until it
starts flashing and a beep sounds.
LAfter {INTERCOM} starts flashing,
the rest of the procedure must be
completed within 2 minutes.
6Your computer:
Select the desired service, then click
[Connect].
7Enter the device’s PIN. (Refer to the
operating instructions provided with the
device.)
LWhen you access to the base unit or
another USB adaptor, enter the
current 4-digit PIN (default: “7262”).
LDepending on the Bluetooth device,
the PIN for the device is not required.
8Click [OK].
LThe animation in the lower left corner
of the Data Link Manager screen
indicates that the connection is
established.
LIf you close the Data Link Manager
window, the current connection is
disconnected.
