Recording discs
You can use 1-DISC/ALL-DISC/1-SONG mode (A page 12) to make
recordings.
Preparations:
Do the preparatory steps (A page 16).
Insert the disc(s) you want to record (A page 9).
Press [:/ J CD] and then [L STOP, –DEMO].
1-DISC/ALL-DISC recording
1Do steps 1 to 2 on page 12.
Ensure CD is stopped.
2Press [a REC] to start recording.
The CD starts.
1-SONG recording
Do steps 1 to 3 on page 12.
Press [a REC] to start recording.
The CD starts.
To stop recording
Press [L STOP, –DEMO].
Disc play stops automatically.
If the tape finishes before the disc
The disc continues playing. Press [L STOP, –DEMO] to stop it.
To record programmed tracks
1Program the tracks (z page 11, steps 1–3).
2Press [a REC] to start recording.
Play starts.
To stop recording, press [L STOP, –DEMO].
Disc play stops automatically.

Recording the radio
Preparation: Do the preparatory steps (A page 16).
1Tune to the required station.
(A page 13 or 14).
2Press [a REC] to start recording.
To stop recording
Press [L STOP, –DEMO].
To record on the other side of the tape
Turn the tape over and press [a REC].
Note
When recording an AM broadcast, sound is momentarily interrupted
when you start and stop the recording.
To reduce noise while AM recording (Beat proof
function)
Remote control only
Press and hold [PLAY MODE] while recording.
Each time you press and hold the button, “BP1” and “BP2” will be
displayed alternately.
Select the position where there is less noise.
