Anti-Skip System

Anti-Skip System

The thinner and lighter construction makes the unit less susceptible to vibration.

An anti-skip mechanism prevents skipping caused when play speed changes due to swinging of the unit.

A recovery system immediately returns the laser pick- up to its original position if it is knocked off the track by a strong shock.

The 40-second anti-skip memory fills in interruptions caused by bumps and vibrations.

Press during play or stop mode.

The jogger indicator can also flash or go out under the following conditions:

As the end of the last track approaches.

As the end of a track approaches during random play, pro- gram play, and 1 track repeat play.

If the track in play or next track is extremely short.

Note!

The anti-skip setting can be changed during play, but this may cause a slight interruption in the sound be- cause the disc’s rotational speed changes.

During anti-skip operation, the disc rotates at a higher rate than usual in collecting extra audio data. This could result in a slight increase in disc rotation noise.
