4.Using the tuning machine, stretch and retune the low-E string to “D.” Then, tighten the locking topnut screw and fine tune the “D” using the fine-tuning adjustment screw.

5.Slide the D-Tuner forward (toward the bridge) while applying slight downward pressure. The D-Tuner will now be in the “E” position. The fine-tuning screw will now be positioned on the top, flat surface of the D-Tuner.

6.Check the tuning of the low-E string.

7.If the low-E string is out of tune, use the supplied 1.5mm hex wrench to turn the set screw on the D-Tuner clock- wise if the pitch is flat, or counterclockwise if the pitch is sharp.

8.Pull the D-Tuner back to the “D” position and check tun- ing. Push it back to the “E” position, check tuning and readjust the set screw if necessary.

9.Once the set screw on the D-Tuner is correctly adjusted, use only the fine-tuning screw for tuning. (The fine-tun- ing screw will simultaneously tune both notes in either position.)

Note

It is recommended that the D-Tuner, fine-tuning

adjustment screw and bridge saddle be

cleaned and lubricated to ensure smooth oper-

ation. The saddle should be allowed to pivot up and down freely to ensure proper operation of the D-Tuner.

Changing string gauges or deviation from proper pitch (A-440) will necessitate readjustment of the D-Tuner.

Tremolo Bridge Height

Bridge height may be adjusted by means of the bridge pivot bolts. Turn the pivot bolts clockwise to reduce bridge height. Turn the pivot bolts counterclockwise to increase bridge height.

tremolo Bridge Tension

The tension of the tremolo bridge is set by adjusting the spring tension screws which hold the spring claw in place. To gain access to the spring tension screws and spring claw, remove the spring cover on the back of the guitar.

The Peavey EVH Wolfgang is a remarkable electric guitar that has captivated musicians and guitar enthusiasts alike since its inception. Designed in collaboration with legendary rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen, the Wolfgang offers an exceptional blend of performance, playability, and innovative features that cater to both amateur and professional players.

One of the standout features of the Peavey EVH Wolfgang is its unique body shape. The guitar boasts a lightweight, contoured basswood or mahogany body, depending on the specific model, which enhances comfort during long playing sessions. The sleek design not only provides aesthetic appeal but also improves sustain and resonance.

The neck of the Wolfgang is equally impressive. It features a comfortable and fast-playing maple neck, designed to facilitate rapid chord changes and intricate soloing. With a medium profile, the neck strikes the perfect balance between thick and thin, accommodating a variety of playing techniques. The 24 extra-jumbo frets on the rosewood or maple fingerboard allow for effortless bends and clear articulation, making it a favorite among lead guitarists.

In terms of electronics, the Peavey EVH Wolfgang comes equipped with powerful, custom-designed humbucking pickups that deliver a rich, dynamic tone. These pickups are capable of handling the high-gain demands of hard rock and metal while maintaining clarity across the frequency spectrum. The guitar also features a simple yet effective control layout, including a three-way toggle switch and a single volume knob, making it easy for players to dial in their desired sound quickly.

One of the key technologies incorporated into the Wolfgang is the innovative Floyd Rose tremolo system. This licensed Floyd Rose bridge allows for extreme dive bombs and flutters while maintaining perfect tuning stability, a critical feature for expressive playing styles. The guitar also incorporates a locking nut, further enhancing tuning reliability and reducing the chance of string slippage during intense performances.

Aesthetic features of the Peavey EVH Wolfgang include a variety of striking finishes and custom graphics that reflect Eddie Van Halen’s flamboyant style. The combination of striking visuals and high-quality craftsmanship make the Wolfgang not only an impressive instrument in terms of sound but also a head-turner on stage.
