Remove the Existing Optical Drive

DISCONNECT THE CD/DVD DATA CABLE AND POWER WIRES

When removing data cable and power wires, pull the connectors straight out. Do not rock connectors back and forth or

remove a connector by pulling it by its wires or cable.

1. Remove the IDE data cable from the existing CD/DVD by carefully pulling the plastic cable tab away from the

rear of the drive. Refer to Figure 7.
