For the simplest procedure to take still pictures:
The flash fires automatically depending on the light conditions.

2 Confirm the subject and shooting
information on the LCD monitor.

You can check the size of the subject by looking through the viewfinder.
3 Press the shutter release button halfway.
The focus frame on the LCD monitor will light green when the camera is in focus.
4 Press the shutter release button.
The image will be displayed on the LCD monitor for 1.5 seconds (Instant Review) and recorded on the SD Memory Card or in the Builtin memory. (The viewfinder lamp blinks slowly while the image is being recorded.)
