Taking Portrait Pictures

To take portrait pictures, select either I (Portrait) mode or C(Kids) mode.

In I(Portrait), the face recognition AF and face recognition AE functions is activated. The position of the face is recognized automatically simply by pointing the camera at the subject from the front, and the focus is adjusted (face recognition AF) and exposure adjusted (face recognition AE) to take the picture.

C(Kids) mode is particularly suited to taking pictures of children who move around a lot because the auto-tracking AF is activated.

1 In Capture Mode, touch the LCD monitor.

The [Capture Toolbar] appears.
